The Doctor Who Thread
Re: The Doctor Who Thread
Little Hav got very excited about new Target novelisations of TV episodes. It's like the 1970s all over again. He even said we could expand our collection of target books. When asked who's collection, he pointed out that he had some in his room so the collection was 'ours'. Don't you just love children...

Re: The Doctor Who Thread
For anyone interested, the entire 10 series of the new version of Dr Who is available to watch on iPlayer. Thats all 146 episodes

Im half way thru re-watching them with the kids on a Saturday night. Aimee was 2 moths old when the new lot started so wasn't interested at the time
Ruby was born midway thru series 4, so again, not interested. But both very much so now. We've just got to Matt Smiths 3rd episode.
Oh, and also notice I said series and not season. That's because I'm British and don't follow that tw*tish American shitte.

A new trailer with a bit more in it (just in case you missed it):

Less than a month to go...
Re: The Doctor Who Thread
The Doctor is in the house! JW was excellent - were there ever male Doctors? As most regeneration stories a bit story light but JW shone through. Looking forward to next week.

Re: The Doctor Who Thread
May contain potential spoilers........
I thought the script was a little ropey, lots of jumping around without explanation, lots of 'Oh, my sonic can do that' and plenty of loose ends that didn't get resolved....
JW was, as you quite rightly point out, excellent.
Bradley Walsh was surprisingly less irritating than I thought he would be, his last monologue, indeed, was very good....
The special effect were a mixed bag, some very good, some not so good (I'm looking at you, floating in space scene.....)
I find myself liking Ryan and Yasmin, which is nice......
Overall, I reckon a good 7 / 10.
