You know when you're enjoying coding a game is when you spend more time playing it than actually writing it. :)

What are you writing this in/with?

Yeah, can be a problem!

Writing in in GLBasic - sits nicely between B3D and Blitzmax in terms of language difficulty / functionality for me.

Quick update from me on Retronoid - still beavering along nicely after a dirty weekend away with the missus recharged the old batteries a bit.

Powerups are going swimmingly (about 80% in and working), with a generation method that feels about right in terms of droprate. What drops is still a bit random though, so its on the list for tweaking later. Fleshed out the particle engine a little too - only simple stuff, but effective enough. Might have another vid by next weekend / weekend after.

As part of trying to keep my motivation going, Im regularly updating my blog as a sort of devblog for how its coming along - if anyones interested in popping along the link is in my contact info to the left and in my profile.

When you play the game you are working on more than you are coding it. That's a good sign (hopefully) that it's fun. :)

It looks really nice. I don't get on with Arkanoid type games these days so much cause my reactions are not as fast but it looks like a keeper.

Some very nice models there. Not sure the texturing of the Batman one is spot on though.

Nice to see that somebody else remembers Hydrofool, other than me and Betpet. :D

Nice 3d models unoquepasa, almost makes me want to revive an old 3D Head Over Heels remake project of mine - if I ever finish the damn engine...
