Ooh good catch that! If there's no record function you can still use Audacity to capture the soundcard output IIRC.

My love, I am the speed of sound.
I left them motherless, fatherless. Their souls dangling inside-out from their mouths.
But it's never enough.

Added. Also noticed that I hadn't added Sculptris which is the same kind of tool.

Also added https://obsproject.com/ for game recording which is excellent. Still in beta, but my only gripes so far are 1) only 2 audio sources 2) No pause, but the files are flv and about 10th the size generated by PlayClaw (that I currently use)

For folk wanting to learn Gamemaker (GML) I've added the excellent Tom Francis series of video that he is currently doing https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-cl=8 ... 7ig0z7ohWw

And almost the complete opposite, one of the programmers from The Witness is creating a full game in C with no engines or libraries (not even ANSI C). One hour live stream a day with 30+mins Q&A. Very hardcore. https://handmadehero.org/

This has probably cropped up before but just in case, it's so I know where it is later.

- online raster (png, jpg, bmp etc) to svg (vector art) converter: http://www.drububu.com/tutorial/bitmaptovector.html (outputs more or less optimized for pixel art)

Game engine:
- pico-8 virtual console: http://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php a virtual 8bit console/computer with built-in sprite and map editors, music tracker and Lua interpreter/commandline. I'll write a proper forum post when I have time but it's a neat toy you can do cool stuff with.
