C64

Format specific babbling. From Speccy to anything that's not the Speccy but they're probably not as good but we'll live, I guess.

So a couple of c64 things:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/512010/ is a pretty interesting doco on commodore.

Also, not sure if its been mentioned but the crowdfunded 'The 64' console is still a hopeful success story. There is also a handheld version.

Not wishing to piss on your chips, jas, but wasn't that one revealed to be just a concept model/mockup of the keyboard version, and the handheld version just a simplistic CGI rendering?

Well they never claimed to have a prototype so I would believe the images were mockups. I havent thrown any money at it yet, and wont until its successfully completed but I've not heard of any problems with the campaign, Afaik it is still a legit project. Of course it could all still come tumbling down, but i hope it succeeds.

I heard that redesigned speccy project just got wiped and labelled as a scam tho.

Yeah, that Vega+ handheld has been smelling pretty fishy for a while now. Shame really, because they roped Rick Dickinson in to do the case design.

Hopefully you are talking about the Vega as the Spetrum next looks really promising...
