Re: Enterprise / Elan / Flan

Thanks. Somewhat unsurprisingly I didn't get it! Never mind though!

Re: Enterprise / Elan / Flan

Yeah, there's a few nice-looking games in that line-up, well the Chase HQ port looks good. Thanks for that! Unfortunately "Enterprise computer" is not the easiest thing to Google for, I get a ton of links to Windows versions and various bits of "enterprise edition" software but hardly anything on th...

Enterprise / Elan / Flan

Anyone ever have one of these? I'm currently eyeing one on eBay... don't all rush out and outbid me though... Were there any decent games for it? A cursory glance at Youtube shows a decent-looking Rick Dangerous port (though I don't like Rick Dangerous much), an Amstrad-ish Batman and not a lot else...

Re: Mini Competition #4 -Do it

I am still working on this, occasionally. . . Wrote a MIDI file to assembly converter that spits out a tune in time, note, volume, on|off format which I can use to add a bit of music to the game; there's loads of free MIDI files of copyright-free music out there. Just started on the playback routine...

Re: I built an arcade joystick

Heh, nice, just needs a proper case though, I don't think that'd survive a full round of Daley Thompson's Decathlon!

You can get something laser cut out of plywood or other for not very much these days.
(That reminds me, I really should finish the nixie clock I've been building forever)

Re: Mini Competition #4 -Do it

Minor update as I'm back at work today and have had other things to sort out like putting Ikea furniture together... also it's been too hot to do anything really. But I have sprites! Well, a sprite. He's just sitting there, statically, at a fixed screen position right now. At least I have almost all...

Re: No Man's Sky!!!11111

I've got it on PS4 so probably won't be multiplayering with anyone on Steam soon, knowing Sony...
I'm also not bothered by multiplayer, and it doesn't look that different to me as far as I can remember it. If it's still as monotonous as before then I'm not interested...

Re: Mini Competition #4 -Do it

I got joystick reading in so I can now scroll around the map... sprites next! And some sort of audio, presumably. The PC Engine has IMHO a very nice chiptune sound with its six "wavetable" channels but I'm not exactly a sound expert so I'll see what I can get out of it. Sound effects should be easie...
