Re: Jetboard Joust - Skateboard Joust Sequel
Runs fine for me on my ancient lenovo laptop, there's some light slowdown when there are a lot of particles on screen (I noticed this with the smoke effect when several explosions occur at the same time) but it's really minor and to be expected on such a machine (old intel integrated graphics chip)....

Re: Jetboard Joust - Skateboard Joust Sequel
As someone who download a lot of games of the internet, I'd very much rather have a zip file I can unzip to my "games" folder than having to faff around with an installer.
That said, I'm really looking forward to giving Jetboard Joust a try, installer or not

The gamemaker 2 announcement
So, yoyogames announced (finally) GM2 ( details here , FAQ here ). I like what I've seen so far (the room editor looks usable at last, yay), but there are a couple of things I'm not too hot on (GM2 is 64 bits only, mobile export is reaaally expensive at $399). And then there's this, which I'm not OK...

Re: [gamemaker] Problem with views
Oh, I didn't think you could stack views on top of each other, thanks for the tip! Setting view[0] to the screen res I want and putting view[1] on top of it does the job nicely. Hopefully the extra logic in the draw calls won't tank the fps too much.
Thanks again!

[gamemaker] Problem with views
I'm trying to make a thing in gamemaker and the view system is giving me headaches. I have a view[0] with a port of 512x320, which I want to display on the left of the screen, leaving the right-hand side for UI elements. I have a call to window_set_size(960,540) in the room creation code to, er, set...
